9. Jack Black's Animatronic Baby Head Will Give You Nightmares

The House With A Clock In Its Walls was easily one of the strangest, most surprising movies of 2018. Made by horror aficionado Eli Roth, it seemed a strange project from the outside, given that it was based on a kids book and would ostensibly be aimed at younger audiences. How he'd manage to mash his Hostel style of film-making with not making kiddies puke up their popcorn was always going to be an interesting question.

But Roth managed it, making a hugely charming, funny and still occasionally scary family horror adventure that went absolutely off the charts bonkers in the final act. As it's about to hit its climax, the film seems to realise that it's spent way too long in its business clothes and instead aims squarely at being completely ludicrous, leading to one sequence in which Jack Black's warlock is trapped in a time loop and is half-transformed into a baby with Black's bearded, old man head still intact.

If it sounds weird, that's NOTHING compared to the nightmarish reality of the animatronic Jack Black baby monster that was created for the movie and is now out there somewhere just existing menacingly. Look at the absolute state of it...
