In a movie about a team of villains, you need to have a hero. That will be Rick Flagg, the man who leads the team in the field and keeps a watchful eye on Amanda Waller and her schemes. Based on a number of reports, he'll be the only one on the team not implanted with an explosive device which will trigger if he goes rogue, while he's also been described as being more of a government agent than superhero. He's still a baddie though! The big reveal at the end of the movie apparently sees Rick reporting to Rick Flagg Snr., Suicide Squad's true villain (who is presumably in charge of Onslaught). Details are scarce, but the two are thought to be in cahoots because they want to get their hands on Waller's weapons and A.R.G.U.S.' resources. That's frustratingly vague, but it's believed that this twist will be used to set up a number of other DC Comics adaptations and characters.
