Michael Bay's Transformers films dominated the box-office from 2007-2017, and while it's fair to say most audiences were unable to distinguish Autobot A from Decepticon B (unless they happened to be called Optimus Prime or Bumblebee), diehard fans were more attentive.

The second entry in the series, 2009's Revenge of the Fallen, introduced several new Autobots into Bay's interpretation of the series. One of them was Sideswipe, a red sports car in the original cartoon who was now a sleek, silver Corvette. He rode around on wheels, had knives for hands (a true forbear to Ragnarok's Miek), and had about two lines of dialogue in the entire series.

Sideswipe returned in Dark of the Moon, but when 2014's Age of Extinction brought a new cast of Autobots with it, some fans - genuinely - wondered what had happened to the knife-wielding robot. Well, in a fate perhaps befitting of Sidewipe's stature in those films, it was left to some collector cards to reveal what happened to him.

They reveal Sideswipe was hunted down and killed by Cemetery Wind, and while no one was too fussed about what became of Sideswipe, the fact they bothered explaining his fate in a series of collector cards is the weirdest thing about it.
