10 Movie Remakes You Had No Idea Were Even Happening

10. Flight of the Navigator (1986)

flight-of-the-navigator-original I don't know what exactly happened to me during my childhood, but I only ever remember seeing strange flashes of Flight of the Navigator from time and time whenever I tried to watch it - as a result, the idea of this movie totally freaked out of it. I later put this strange viewing experience down to the fact that it was probably taped badly from the television (back in the good old days of VHS) and parts of the film were missing, and not the rare psychotic condition that my doctor diagnosed. Nowadays, of course, I'm aware that the movie isn't about a boy who becomes half-spaceship in some twisted accident like I originally conceived, but about a boy who is abducted by a spaceship when he's 12, and, uh, falls down into a ravine and time travels eight years into the future... or something like that. It's an odd movie. Will The Remake Be Any Good? Colin Trevorrow (who was originally rumoured as the director of the upcoming Star Wars sequel) signed on with Disney at the end of last year to remake this '80s "classic," so you can expect something about as good as Tron: Legacy, I guess. Expect it some time in 2014.
