10 Overlooked Positives Of Star Wars Prequel Trilogy

7. Intense Space Battles

The literal, well star wars in the Star Wars prequels are nothing short of exciting. If there was one aspect of the films that the big budgets and CGI were used to their fullest in this trilogy, it was the space battles. (Well actually, there was another example of this, which we will get to later.)

While the space battle at the end of Episode I was rather lacking, they would only improve as the films went on. Obi-Wan's skirmish and chase with Jango Fett was incredibly fun to watch and was utterly ripe with tension.

However, the absolute crown jewel of space battles, not only in the prequel trilogy, but in the saga as a whole, was the Battle of Coruscant that opened Revenge of the Sith. This is a battle that had everything. High octane action during the final days of the Clone Wars, ships being leveled every which way with neither side holding a clear lead, all while our heroes navigated their way through it all, with a clear objective Anakin's skill as the "best star pilot in the galaxy" on full display.

This was the true climax of the Clone Wars, the years-long conflict culminating in this one, massive, incredibly destructive battle. This scene represents everything a space battle in Star Wars should be.
