10 Robert De Niro Movies That Suck More Than Dirty Grandpa

It's not exactly a one off.

Robert De Niro€™s legacy as one of the greatest actors in cinema history is secure; after all, you don't make movies like Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, The Godfather Part II, The King Of Comedy, Midnight Run or Heat by accident. Ask any young performer today who inspired them to get into the business, and the odds are good they€™ll mention De Niro at some point. The release of a new De Niro movie is no longer the cultural event it used to be, however. Maybe it€™s the lack of great scripts or strong directors that's the problem, but most of his recent output tend to be a bit, well, crap. He€™s made so many turkeys €“ with such alarming regularity €“ for the last two decades that audiences have become instinctively cautious when a new film comes along. If the reviews for Dirty Grandpa are any indication, that doesn€™t look set to change anytime soon. His reasons for appearing in such garbage is varied; he might want to work with a particular actor or director, he could be doing someone a favour or €“ and this is the most likely offender €“ he€™s being paid really well. Listed here are some of the great actor€™s worst movies to date, which prove that even legends can have a bad day; or, in this case, a twenty-year streak of bad days.
