10 Scrapped DCEU Scenes We Desperately Wanted To See

10. Black-Suit Superman - Justice League

While Justice League was shooting, it was heavily rumoured that Superman's (Henry Cavill) resurrection would see him don his iconic black suit from the comics, complete with a beard and long hair.

Henry Cavill himself exacerbated those rumours by posting a mysterious image to social media teasing the costume pre-release, yet when the film finally came out, the black Superman suit was nowhere to be seen.

It was later revealed that Zack Snyder's original intent was to feature the black suit, to the extent of even shooting scenes with Henry Cavill wearing it.

The film's costume designer then implied it was scrapped due to the film's tonal change in reshoots, where Superman was re-envisioned as his more traditionally optimistic, red-and-blue character.

The suit sadly only appeared briefly in one of the film's deleted scenes, and to date not a single image of Cavill in the black costume has ever made its way online.

While it's understandable that Warner Bros. wanted to deliver a safe, risk-adverse blockbuster following the acidic reception to Batman v Superman, black-suit Superman could've been absolutely incredible if done right - and we very nearly got it.
