An article of this nature is intrinsically upsetting and unsettling. To write and to read. Untouchable means it can't be rivaled, can't be matched. Simply, it can't be touched. But it's always fun to imagine the impossible, for the greatest creators and revolutionaries did just that. I will take it upon myself to set these ideas afloat across the Internet in hopes of challenging the seemingly unchallengeable norm. Keep your eyes out for bold statements and even bolder choices. We need these remakes. We could plug in today's greatest talents to bring to a revival some of the greatest films of all time. We could cast a few spins on these immortal stories to breathe new life and relevance into these pillars of these film essentials.
