10 Things You Didn't Know About Amanda Seyfried

8. She Nearly Became An Opera Singer

Everybody already knows that Amanda Seyfried is a fantastic singer; she has showcased her skills is movies such as Mamma Mia and Les Miserables. But did you know that the actress famous for her role in Mean Girls very nearly became an opera singer? Yep. According to Amanda, it's one of the things that she's most sad about:
" quitting opera-singing training when I was 17. That had been my passion before acting took over and I wish I had stuck with it. I never got to the point where you learn how to control your vibrato. And I got a lot of slack for that."
Don't sweat it, Amanda: you've done pretty well regardless, wouldn't you say? And it's not like Seyfried hasn't been able to show off her established skills in this regard, anyway, what with playing the lovely Cosette in Les Miserables (a role in which she was pretty damn good, considering Cosette is super annoying).
