9. Baz Lurhman's Romeo + Juliet Made Her Want To Be An Actress
Amanda Seyfried had a well-documented crush on the awesomeness that is Leonardo DiCaprio back in the day (who didn't?), but who knew that it was a Leonardo DiCaprio movie that made the actress what she is today? Seriously. Seyfried has claimed on a number of occasions that it was Baz Lurhman's adaptation of Shakespeare's classic play that got her into acting in the first place:
"My role models were Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet. When they fell in love, that's when I fell in love with movies and when I realised I wanted to be Juliet. I think every young girl dreams of being Juliet. Thank God for that movie or honestly, I wouldn't be here."
Obviously the real reason she wanted to be Juliet was so that she could share the screen with Leo, though, right?
