11 Hidden Star Wars Movie Details You Never Noticed

May the hidden details be with you.

The Star Wars franchise may have one of the most dense and heavily detailed universes in all of entertainment. In fact, there are so many stories that they even have to distinguish themselves between 'Canon' and 'Legends'. While many writers and storytellers have branched off from every aspect of the universe they could find, the core Star Wars movies themselves are filled with immersion and plenty of detail themselves.

A good movie will love to give a nod to the fans through continuity, foreshadowing, and easter eggs. These don't only help to enhance the environment and atmosphere of a movie, but are great ways to keep investment and interest in the more hardcore fans, especially upon re-watching.

The Star Wars movies do this so well that many subtle bits of storytelling and references have completely flown over the heads of most fans. You'd probably expect every single frame of these movies to have been dissected and all of its secrets be common knowledge by now, yet somehow it feels like a new piece of the puzzle is uncovered every other day.

Maybe next time you have a Star Wars marathon, you can go hunting for them (or more likely, you can show off the ones already found here)...

Honourable Mention: Indy's Engine Sounds Familiar

Raiders Of The Lost Ark
LucasFilm

Alright, this might not come from a Star Wars movie itself, but it's a direct reference and features Han Solo cosplaying as a cowboy. Close enough, right?

During the first sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones ends up being chased down by a hoard of the natives. While running over the hill, Jones calls out to his friend and hired pilot, Jock, demanding he start up the engines on the plane immediately.

If you pay attention as Jock starts the plane up, you may recognize a familiar sound effect used for its engine. Right when it first starts to get going, the sound effect of an AT-AT firing its blaster can be heard...

11. Rey Closes The Wrong Eye

STAR WARS
LucasFilm

Daisey Ridley put in one hell of a performance for her role as Rey in The Force Awakens. It's just too bad her character has apparently never seen how to work a blaster before.

During their time on Takodana, Han Solo decides to see how Rey handles herself with a proper weapon. As she goes to aim down her sight, you may notice the fact that she's holding the gun in her right hand, but closes her right eye. Traditionally, someone firing a gun will want to keep the hand they shoot with consistent with the eye they're using to aim.

While some may work this up to Rey having a dominant left eye, this is the only time we've ever seen that little detail in the movies. Unless you purposefully show off something that oddly specific more than once, it just has to be chalked up to a mistake by the character.
