12 Most Perfect Castings In Upcoming Comic Book Movies

Actors who look to be the perfect fit for the hero or villain they're playing.

There have been some absolutely fantastic castings in comic book movies over the years; Christopher Reeve as Superman, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Chris Evans as Captain America to name but a few. As a result the comic book movie genre is now one of the most popular in Hollywood and the movies are attracting the biggest and best actors in the world very regularly. The upcoming movies in the genre are no different. With several castings already known - and some having already filmed their scenes - there's a lot of excitement and hype around certain characters thanks to the actors who are playing them. Not all the castings are perfect in the eyes of the fans. Some potentially dodgy castings include Will Smith as Deadshot, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Some others could go either way, like Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, while some are just underwhelming like Ray Fisher as Cyborg and everyone in the Fantastic Four reboot. Other castings like Andy Serkis and Daniel Bruhl look promising but people don't actually know who they're playing yet and while Tom Hardy is a good coup for Suicide Squad, how many people can honestly say he's a good fit for Rick Flag when barely anyone without in-depth comic book knowledge knows the character? In this article, the best dozen castings in upcoming movies Marvel and DC offerings will be listed. Here are the twelve most perfect castings in upcoming comic book movies (with the criteria being that they can't already have been seen on screen as the character they're playing, so there'll be no Josh Brolin as Thanos or Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Strucker here)...
