12. Channing Tatum As Gambit

The casting of Channing Tatum as Gambit has long been touted - particularly as the actor expressed an interest in the role long before he was actually cast - but it was finally announced as being confirmed in May of 2014. Not only will he portray the X-Man in X-Men: Apocalypse, he will also star in a titular Gambit movie - and that's something to be especially excited about. Taylor Kitsch portrayed the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the portrayal went down okay with fans, but Kitsch didn't know much about the character and the fact that Tatum is a fan and will bring genuine passion to the role, in combination with the fact that he's more of an all-action kind of guy and a bigger star in general, should make the new version of the character a popular one.
