12 Trash Movies (That You Definitely Love Anyway)

8. The Holiday

Now, this one will probably get more dissent than any of the others on this list, because it is a generally loved movie. But you'll find no contest to that suggestion here: the Christmas romantic comedy is wonderfully charming, successfully emotive and it has some of that old world magic.

It's definitely still trash though, and it's mostly because of Cameron Diaz, who is completely awful in it and gets away with it because of Jude Law being extra infectious and looking like he's just strode out of a Best Dressed Man Awards ceremony at all times. Even when he's Mr Napkin Head.

It's cornball and too far into schmaltzy to usually be forgiven (the likes of Valentine's Day suffer because of the same thing), but it's just so damn likeable despite all of it that it's hard not to love it.
