12 Trash Movies (That You Definitely Love Anyway)

7. Grease 2

Grease 2
Paramount Pictures

There's an argument to say that Grease - that iconic coming-of-age musical that's actually all just about getting laid no matter what the cost and changing your entire persona to get a boyfriend - isn't that great a movie. But like The Greatest Showman, what it lacks elsewhere, it makes up for in charisma and the musical set-pieces.

The sequel, which stars a young Michelle Pfeiffer, doesn't really have the music to fall back on (aside from SOME greats like Reproduction and Girl For All Seasons) so the poorness shines through a bit more obviously. It's generally lambasted as a miserable attempt at a sequel, but that misses the point that it's also irresistibly watchable.

Sure, the acting is low budget day time soap opera class at some points, but it's the very definition of cult classic and the characters are actually far better than most of the originals.
