Compared with the new Netflix series, the 2003 Daredevil film starring Ben Affleck isn't all that great. Even the director's cut of the movie (available on DVD) is still pretty terrible, and that had 30 minutes of new scenes not seen in the theatrical release and had the Jennifer Gardner sex scene taken out.

But let's take a look at these deleted-but-then-reprieved scenes - surely some of them could have helped make the theatrical release better? Actually, several of them are worthy of mention. For a start, there's an entire courtroom sub-plot with Coolio that's good.

And one cut scene featuring Colin Farrell's Bullseye is worth seeing because it's very amusing, in a "I'm not certain they intended this to be funny" sort of way. Regardless of whether it was meant to be comedic, the scene where the over-the-top super-assassin arrives at the airport is undeniably chuckle-worthy.

It also adds an interesting layer to the later scene in the bar where Bullseye attacks people using ordinary objects. Because those are the very items he was playing with when he waltzed through airport security. Good job, airport security guys!
