11. Sweet Sisterly Love In Guardians Of The Galaxy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abhRqNRq5a0There is much to love about 2014's Guardians Of The Galaxy - seeing Rocket Raccoon and Groot up on the big screen was enough to bring a smile to the lips of most Marvel Comics fans even without all the other great things in the movie.
In fact, there were so many good things taking up running time in the film, some nice little moments had to get the chop. One of these interesting and fun-to-watch deleted scenes featured both Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Karen Gillan as Nebula, two characters who would have benefited from additional screen time.
One particular sequence provides greater depth to their sibling rivalry and shows exactly how much the adopted sisters of Thanos love each other (i.e. not much). To summarise, Nebula feels like she's living in Gamora's shadow and Gamora reveals that Nebula takes too much pleasure in killing.
Had the scene been kept, these elements would have added a great deal to the emotional intensity of the later fight between the sisters. Hopefully, the sequel will feature more scenes with these two great actresses and allow these captivating characters to breathe just a little more.
