13 Terrible Looking 2018 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

12. Slender Man

Slender Man Face
Sony Pictures

Release Date: August 24

Though there's undeniable potential for a movie adapted from the famous Internet "Creepypasta", it's painfully clear that Hollywood's take on Slender Man is going to be a broad, generic horror flick geared towards the teen set, PG-13 rating and all (though that rating isn't confirmed yet).

With Stomp the Yard director Sylvain White at the helm, it's hard to have any faith in this being anything more than a dull, formulaic genre film packed with predictable jump scares, irritating characters and probably some bad CGI to boot.

Predicted Box Office: $110 million. Horror almost never fails at the box office and this one is selling itself to the teen crowd extremely well. Plus, it releases without any direct competition, and August has proven to be a strong release window for horror in the past.

Bank on a sequel being confirmed before the end of the summer.
