15 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Jurassic World Awesome

No billion dollar movie should have CGI this cheap...

Even with 2015 seeing the release of new Avengers and Star Wars movies, few films have driven the hype machine as hard and fast as Jurassic World, the first entry into the wildly inconsistent Jurassic Park franchise in almost fifteen years. The good news is that it's easily the best of the sequels, though many fans were left a little crestfallen that the movie as a whole didn't try harder to be closer in quality to the indelible original. As the film crosses the billion-dollar mark in record time, it's time to consider those small but crucial fixes that would've severely improved it. The vast majority of them pertain to the script, as these actors and locations could certainly have made for an excellent movie if they had stronger material to work from. What's most distressing to a lot of fans is just how blatantly obvious most of the flaws are: that someone, particularly executive producer Steven Spielberg, didn't weed these glaring issues out of the script is a tremendous oversight, and troubling given that the sequel will almost certainly see the same writing team return. From those embarrassing moments that made you cringe to the script's rather old-fashioned sensibilities and some unexpected technical hiccups, here are 15 simple fixes that would've made Jurassic World awesome. Hopefully all involved can learn from their teething problems this time and make the follow-up a significant improvement.
