Hollywood productions are huge, expensive, elaborate monstrosities with so many independently moving parts that it's little surprise even the very best movies are typically jam-packed full of mistakes, from laughable continuity errors to visible crew and equipment, anachronisms, and distracting leaps in basic narrative logic.

2017 certainly rewarded those who kept their eyes peeled, with many of the year's biggest movies taking a care-free approach to basic continuity between set-ups, while a certain historical superhero film made several major factual gaffes, and across the board it's clear that stressed-out and/or lazy crew members clearly cut corners thinking nobody would notice. Oh, but they did.

The main thing that makes these mistakes so silly is that, for the majority, they could easily be rectified with a little thought and teamwork on the part of the movie's various departments, least not the directors themselves. Instead, either because they didn't notice, didn't care or lacked the additional coverage to fix their mistake in the editing bay, their movies are left with these glaring issues forever more.

Some might call them "nitpicks", sure, but that doesn't make them any less dumb. So, get your viewing platform of choice ready and seek out these 15 head-smacking movie mistakes for yourself...
