15 Stupid Mistakes That Somehow Made It Into 2017 Movies

Brilliant though the new adaptation of Stephen King's It mostly is, it has a clanger of an anachronism in its opening two minutes, as Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) heads downstairs and the living room TV is plainly visible in the background.

Anyone who lived through the late 80s and early 90s knows that TVs didn't look like this back then. More to the point, a Toshiba TV of this variety, complete with the silver trim, wasn't actually available until the early 2000s.

Considering that the movie roots itself so firmly in its period setting, even flashing up "October 1988" moments before the goof, it's a shame that such a blindingly obvious production design mistake slipped through the net.
