Believing everything that Tom Sizemore says might not be the best approach to life, considering his apparent conviction that he'd set up Liz Hurley and President Bill Clinton for their affair (it never happened, and he's never met Clinton), but some near misses can be believed more than others.

The imposing Saving Private Ryan actor was apparently in the running for a role in the first Jurassic Park. He'd just made Passenger 57 and had a bit part in Point Break, but he was along way from the peak of his profile (that came between '94's True Romance and '98's Saving Private Ryan).

You can only assume he was up for a lesser role - perhaps as Robert Muldoon (since his typically gruff demeanour would suit that granite-cut character type), or as an alternative for Nedry - given his lesser status at the time.

Lukcily for Sizemore fans, he now works a lot more (thanks mostly to an enthusiastic approach to projects you probably aren't likely to get to see): he currently has an extraordinary 16 films in various stages of production.
