20 Everyday Challenges That Movies & TV Make Look So Easy

learning-from-failure-006 If there is one thing that I hate about otherwise likable characters it is their inane ability to complete general, average tasks better than I can. I know the reason they can is because of expert writers or costume designers or make-up artists or what have you, but I do like to believe that if I tried just a little harder, perhaps I would be able to replicate their perfection. I think what makes them our favorite characters is the fact that we secretly look up to them, but it is very annoying when you take a look at your life and realize that a fourteen year old can get their work done better and with more time left on their deadline clock than you can, assuming you are much older. I often watch movies and TV shows with the exact purpose to find average life tasks that characters accomplish in order to find an easier way to do it, but to no avail. I am still left disappointed with my efforts. What is to follow is a list of twenty average, everyday challenges that movies and TV shows make look easy. Not only that, but the list is comprised of such tasks that I can never, ever get a handle on, leaving me both exhausted and depressed. While I go and eat my feelings, please enjoy!

20. Car Maintenance

Grease I have a car. I take care of it, sometimes. It€™s not that I don€™t care about it, it€™s just that if I see it€™s dirty, I would rather wait for a rain shower than drag out the hose and give it a nice sponge bath! There are some characters though who, either for selfish reasons or because they are just that responsible, never let their autos out of the driveway unless they are clean and fed. Danny from Grease and Rex from Sex Drive are just a couple of car carers that I can list off the top of my head who make me want to love my car more than I actually do.

I am a college graduate of Penn State with two bachelors in the arts. When I'm not writing or performing, I am an SFX make-up artist for local up and coming films in the Houston area. I love horror movies, James Spader, and will watch anything suggested to me.
