5 Comic Books That Would Be More Successful On TV Than Film

5. Jonah Hex

jonah hex Jimmy Hayward€™s Jonah Hex is just terrible. The film contained an impressive cast (besides the inclusion of Megan Fox), but the writing was atrocious and the action was too over the top for a western. Josh Brolin was incorrectly cast as the scarred gunslinger, but his performance wasn€™t the worst part of the film. The entire aesthetic choice of the film along with the terrible direction took a very interesting lesser-known DC character, and turned it into 81 minutes of garbage. Jonah Hex isn€™t an impossible character to successfully adapt to the big screen. He is practically a supernatural Clint Eastwood, but I believe the character could gain more popularity if he had a mini series on TV. FX€™s Justified has already proved that audiences still enjoy the western genre, and if DC could pitch a mature Jonah Hex TV show to a cable network such as FX, AMC or even Starz or Cinemax then they could find the proper and successful home for this very interesting and misused property.
