7 Overlooked Positives Of Spider-Man 3

3. Harry's A D*ck Without Any Costume

The Harry Osborn amnesia subplot is long-winded and rather pointless; Raimi could've shaved off a huge chunk of that whole unnecessary subplot and had more time for Venom and nobody would have lost any sleep. But hey, he didn't, and we're now left with a meandering tangent that gives us yet another dance scene - this time with Harry, MJ and Chubby Checker. At the very least, it thankfully all ends up with Harry regaining his knowledge that Peter is Spidey, and (insofar as he knows) responsible for the death of his father. This leads to some dastardly scheming on Harry's behalf, as he sets about ruining his old pal's life, starting with his relationship with Mary Jane. The best scene of which takes place in a diner, as Harry tells Peter that he is 'the other guy' that Mary Jane is in love with, taking delicious enjoyment in Pete's shock and subsequent swift departure.
As the waitress asks Harry how his pie is, he takes a bite and smugly drolls "so good", before turning and winking to Peter out the window - indicating to his frenemy that he's gotten his old Nu Goblin memories back. If there's one thing that James Franco does well, it's smug self-satisfaction.
