Carrying on the grand tradition of Obi-Wan Kenobi dissing the Star Wars movies, Alec Guinness's successor Ewan McGregor has been publicly vocal about his discomfort with making the prequels. He at least got Lucas's name right ("it is to be directed by Paul Lucas", Guinness wrote about A New Hope), but openly railed against the heavy use of green screen.

There's one other way that McGregor has been admirably carrying the torch for Guinness, though, and that's in his insulting Star Wars fans. In a 2014 interview with Details magazine, McGregor was asked about his experiences with "intense" fans, which unexpectedly awoke the beast in him.

"I don't have any experience with them", McGregor said, before adding, "the people I meet are the f***ers who want me to sign Star Wars photos". These people are, apparently, "parasitical lowlifes and f***ing w***ers". That he later admitted in the interview that he was used to fans coming up to him in the street and telling him what they thought of the prequels probably had something to do with his outburst.
