2. The Prisoner
Chris Nolan once had plans to remake the cult British tv sci-fi series from the 60′s that focused on a former secret agent who was held prisoner in a strange coastal village resort where his captors try and work out why he wanted to resign. The show was full of 1960 counter-cultural ideas and themes and was pretty out there with it’s surreal imagery and fantasy elements but was a childhood favourite of Nolan’s who had an idea for how to make it work on the big screen.
His version of The Prisoner however seems pretty dead in the water since it was reported that Chris had halted his plans to make a feature film out of the show back in 2009. It didn’t help that there was a crappy TV miniseries in that same year starring both Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and Jesus (Jim Caviezel). On paper that sounds like an awesome idea but it really wasn’t executed well.
However nothing is ever truly dead in Hollywood and the chance to resuscitate this film might just come along if it gets the right backing. With a good script – supposedly the last one was written by the same team that wrote the excellent Twelve Monkeys – who’s to say that Christopher Nolan couldn’t be tempted back to breathe new life into the franchise? After all he’s proven recently that he’s rather good at reboots.
Who Would Star?: No name was ever attached to Nolan’s version but we can’t help but feel his Inception star Leonardo DiCaprio would do well stepping into Patrick McGoohan’s shoes.
Likelihood as Nolan’s Next Movie?: The tepid response to the revamped TV show seems to have killed this feature outright, though with Nolan’s blank cheque and if he gets the right leading man, this one could easily get going again.

As a huge ME fan, I’d love to see his take on Mass Effect. But not with Jim Caviezel. Guy has the personality of an empty wardrobe.
Nolan says the Howard Hughes movie is dead. So I highly doubt it comes next. http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/christopher-nolan-says-his-howard-hughes-film-is-dead-but-hed-still-like-to-do-a-bond-film-at-some-point-20120604
Nolan should direct AKIRA!!
This film has been stopped and started more times than i care to count and with Nolans expert direction and scope, it would be a gritty, real and viscious vision to behold.
Even DeCaprio has been financially linked to the project and its my understanding that both him and nolan are friends and could easily collaborate on this.
Akira is a film that needs to be remade and although casting too many of hollywoods actors is “whitewashing” the asian masterpiece im sure if Nolan was behind the camera no one would care.
Chronicle was a hit and that was done by a bunch of unknowns (to me anyway) and seeing as Akira has similar subject matter you can be certain that its bound to grab the attention of those who are not fanboys of the original.

I really dont think they need to reboot bond anytime soon for chris nolan to do a follow up to skyfall “james bond 23″, I think he would do it if they had a really good story or if he could come up with something, i really like the idea of daniel craig back as bond in a chris nolan bond film, im not sure on the villians, maybe have gary oldman or tom hardy or christian bale as one of bond villians and maybe kevin spacey as the other, i luv that rumor a little while :), two thumbs up for chris nolan and james bond 24, warner brothers and mgm make it happen !!!!!
mgm and warner brothers should try to get chris nolan for a follow up to skyfall and bring back daniel graig as bond and no roboot for “james bond 24″, it would be very awesome to hear about nolan + daniel = :), at least for this guy, im not sure on bond villian or villians maybe gary oldman as a bond villian sounds pretty cool for me or christian bale or leo or jgl or tom hardy or some one hes never work with yet like kevin spacey would be something new and different, what do u guys think ?
I didn’t know what Mass Effect was- but I just did some research after reading this and the story is… Awesome!

The Green Lantern was pants? Is that British slang or just a typo? Either way it made me smile like a 12 year old.
