Are These The Villains For Thor: Ragnarok And Infinity War?

We're about to meet Thanos' lady love...

Geek.com are on a roll after reportedly scooping the identity of one of the new characters in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, because now they're saying that they know who the main villain for Thor: Ragnarok is going to be. All fair SPOILER WARNING to those who'd rather find out all this stuff later, in case it turns out to be true. These are potential spoilers for both Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, so just be mindful of that. ... One last SPOILER WARNING here, just to be on the safe side... ... Okay, here we go. The report is basically saying that the character that Cate Blanchett will be playing is Hela, god of the Norse underworld, ruler of Hel. The story goes that she'll be teaming up with Loki for some nefarious scheme in Ragnarok, and that later on she will be the object of Thanos' affections in Infinity War. I mean, it does make perfect sense. Those who are familiar with the comics will understand Thanos' unhealthy obsession with courting the physical, feminine embodiment of Death. But if they're introducing Hela, goddess of death, why not have her be the apple of Thanos' eye? It would also be a healthy way of bringing the Asgardians into the conflict as well. This is a 100% sound creative decision, from any angle. Be sure to click through to Geek.com for the full story, including one last big major plot spoiler! Thor: Ragnarok is released on 3 November 2017.
