Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 12 Moments From The Trailers (Not In The Film)

Talk about false advertising.

One of the biggest complaints about Avengers: Age Of Ultron ahead of release was that the trailers simply showed too much, giving away major action beats and pretty succinctly telling the whole plot. While that's a little bit exaggerated - there are still a couple of surprise moments in there, which can't be said of last year's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - it is undeniable that the advertising featured an unnecessarily obscene amount of the actual film. But it wasn't just a case of showing too much of the film - the trailers also showed a lot that wasn't even in it. This has become pretty expected of Marvel - Iron Man 2's teaser hinged on a scene totally absent from the finished movie - but even for them this is to a pretty crazy level. In fact, the first teaser that set the internet alight back in November has so many moments that aren't actually in the film that it could legitimately be called false advertising. Here we take a look at twelve moments from the trailer mysteriously absent from the full film.

Honourable Mention - Unfinished Effects

There's a lot of shots, particularly in the first teaser, that are in the finished film, but not quite the same due to in process effects work. This is particularly true of the Hulkbuster fight; the floating Veronica isn't visible behind him; various shots of the police attacking Hulk lack the green meanie himself; the moment where the two punch each other doesn't have Iron Man's replacement arm. These are numerous, but par for the course when you're releasing trailers over half a year before the movie's actually finished.
