Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Key Characters Who Could Die

So, who's going to bite the super-powered dust?

Captain America Dead In a recent article, we discussed the potential fatalities that could occur in this month's big movie release, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Let's look a little bit further ahead than that. Next year, the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie is set to take the world by storm. The reuniting of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye (as well as the team being joined by some new allies) is a mouth-watering prospect for fans of the comic book movie genre the world over. It stands to be the most ambitious comic book movie of all time and, as part of the most successful comic book movie franchise of all time, it's likely to smash box office records and drive audiences crazy with excitement. That said, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has, to date, failed to display the guts required to kill off a major character - so we think it's about time they did - and Age of Ultron could be the time to do it. The closest we've been to a major death so far is Phil Coulson. He "died" at the hands of Loki in the first Avengers movie, but was later revealed to be alive, thanks to an alien drug, in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television show. The likes of Thor, Nick Fury, Pepper Potts and Bucky Barnes have all apparently perished in previous films, only to later be resurrected or revealed to have survived. That needs to change before the Marvel Cinematic Universe starts to become too predictable. In this article, in no particular order, we're going to take a look at ten key characters who could die in Avengers: Age of Ultron (warning: this article contains Marvel Cinematic Universe spoilers)...
