Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Possibilities For The Secret New Character
Isn't it about time Namor appeared?
Given how many characters are already confirmed to appear in Avengers: Infinity War (including The Avengers, the new Avengers, the Guardians Of The Galaxy and the villainous faction), you'd probably be forgiven for expecting the cast to be more than full already. But if Stan Lee is to be believed, we might have to put aside some mental space for at least one more major player.
Lee was quoted as saying there was a crowd-pleasing major new player (in a Q+A with fans in Des Moines), before his assistant reminded him he couldn't go into depth on it, which has inevitably set tongues into furious action across the Internet.
If the suggestion of a brand new character (which is how it's being read) isn't exciting enough, it's the added tease that it will delight fans that is truly intriguing. And that restricts the options to an exalted band of gems.
It would obviousyl be nice for Galactus to turn up to smush Thanos into a pulp for daring to imagine himself as a god, but the rights issues there probably restrict that likelihood. And similarly, though it would be great to see The Avengers assisted by an X-Men team-member, or The Fantastic Four, it's just not happening. Considering we probably won't even see the Defenders cameo, a rights-sharing deal with Fox is well outside the realms of possibility.
So who is "The Man" hinting at, exactly?
