It almost feels like every new Marvel movie comes with some vague hope that beloved character Nova might be finally heading to screens after he was rather frustratingly left out of James Gunn's first two Guardians Of The Galaxy movies. Until now, he's never really had a reason to debut anywhere but in that series.

All of that changes in Infinity War when Thanos presumably attacks Xandar to retrieve the Power Stone, bringing the Guardians into the front-line of his war. And that would also represent the perfect opportunity for Xandar's most famed protector to make his bow.

And on top of the narrative fitting, Nova is exactly the kind of most wanted figure who would qualify as "crowd-pleasing" in Stan Lee's own words. If it was Nathan Fillion, the Internet might even explode.
