As had been speculated for some time - and teased heavily in the set photos that have leaked at various times from Atlanta - Infinity War will see the MCU debut of the Black Order, Thanos' fearsome sidekicks from the comics who lead his army.

In Infinity War the Black Order - made up of Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw and Cul Obsidian (otherwise known as Black Dwarf confusingly, since he's massive) - are Thanos' children. Or should that be MORE of Thanos' children, since this brood also included Gamora and Nebula at one point.

Their designs are based on the original look of the unit - who debuted in 2013 event Infinity and were designed primarily by Jerome Opena (with help from Jim Cheung and Infinity writer Jonathan Hickman). For now, there's no sight of fifth member Supergiant, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's not involved (perhaps it'll be a former codename for either of Thanos' absent daughters?)

Beyond Terry Notary, who is said to be playing Cul Obsidian, no information is yet available on their actors. If Peter Dinklage turns out to be one of them, that would be a truly great thing.

They're likely to be Thanos' first wave foot soldiers who are sent to retrieve the Infinity Stones on his behalf, and it's great to see that they're clearly going to be a significant threat in their own right.
