Avengers Infinity War Deaths: Which Characters Will Return (And Who Won't)
Three possibilities: Yes, Maybe or No.
It goes without saying that Marvel's 10 year plan has paid off in every possible respect. Avengers: Infinity War is a resounding success, not only for the sheer feat of combining various prior solo films and ensemble pieces into something greater, but for writing a script that's just as much high-octane spectacle as thinkpiece.
The latter comes from Thanos finally making his full characterful debut. Formerly resigned to post-credits scenes and one commanding glimpse in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, here we see not the chaos-loving "Mad Titan" that was all over the marketing, but a solemn, driven dictator - one driven by, as Loki also used to refer to himself in 2012's The Avengers, the "burden of glorious purpose".
Thanos absolutely believes what he's doing is for the betterment of the universe, and though the reality of that is a 50/50 genocidal massacre of every planet in the cosmos, overpopulation methods are absolutely going to be a major talking point in our collective future.
Coming out the other end of the film, the MCU is completely changed. This is where we get into MASSIVE SPOILER territory, as some things will never be the same again.
