With Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok yet to join Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 on the 2017 Marvel slate, MCU fans could have been forgiven for thinking that the studio would resist looking too far into the future. But the hype train for 2018's movies is firmly in motion already, and we've finally got the first look at Ryan Coogler's hugely hyped Black Panther.

As you'd probably expect, it's another excellent teaser from the Marvel marketing machine, which sets out not only an enthralling tone and promises lots of action, but also carries the confident strokes of a film-maker being encouraged to really show off what he can do. This is no Marvel paint-by-numbers, and nor does it offer ammunition for those who positively tumble over themselves looking for a way to criticise the franchise for being too "fun".

This is adult-oriented comic book movie as it's supposed to be: political, high-octane and stuffed with interesting ideas and characters, and by the look of the first trailer, we're in for a treat. Inevitably, because Marvel have already set an incredibly high bar, it's not entirely perfect, but it definitely sits alongside the Thor: Ragnarok teaser as a recent high-point of the studio's MCU marketing.

So what's great and what's not about this first trailer? First, to the (very few) disappointments...
