The next massive Marvel crossover movie, Captain America: Civil War, is just around the corner. Anticipation of the movie has been consistently fervent from day one, with no shortage of theories doing the rounds regarding what the superhero bust-up movie might entail. The reason for this is simple: fans know that Civil War is going to be a big one. Superheroes have had the occasional fracas on the big screen before, but never at this magnitude. 10. Rhodeys Death And Its Impact
Don Cheadles Lieutenant Rhodes is getting back in the War Machine armour for Captain America: Civil War. Hell be on Team Tony, in the battle against Captain America and his followers that oppose the idea of government control over superheroes. And, judging by the trailers, wading into this conflict isnt going to end well for Rhodey. It definitely looks like hes down for the count in one much-screengrabbed shot from the latest trailer. The common thinking is that hes not just knocked out here, but that hes actually dead. Perhaps hes the first significant fatality of the titular war, upping the ante in terms of both personal investment in the story for Tony Stark and also the stakes of the movie at large. The fall-out of this event would be massive. When Quicksilver died in Ultron, it didnt matter too much to the majority of the Avengers since most of them had only met him for the first time earlier that week. Rhodey, though, is a guy that theyve known about, fought alongside and partied with for years. To Tony, hes a best mate and a brother in arms. So if Rhodey does indeed die, expect Tony to completely lose his rag. He could hit the bottle once again, or just aim all his anger at Steve Rogers. Its hard to imagine the two ever being buddies again if Cap was complicit in his best friend's death, isnt it?
