Captain America Civil War: Predicting The Entire Plot In 10 Steps

Someone major has to die, right?

Due to the sheer mass of characters due to make appearances in Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios have managed to get through most of the film€™s promotional period without giving away too many spoilery details of the film€™s actual plot. Instead, viewers have just been treated to a few montaged-together clips of all these superheroes duking it out. That€™s enough to get most fans hyped, after all. To draw a comparison, there€™s been no massive reveal in the Civil War promos akin to Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice€™s shoehorned-in Doomsday tease. Daniel Bruhl€™s villainous Baron Zemo remains a complete mystery, as does Tom Holland€™s Spider-Man - and how he fits in the movie - on the heroic side. So, there€™s a lot that audiences don€™t know about Civil War€™s actual story just yet, but when has that ever stopped fans from guessing? Here€™s a prediction of how the entire film will pan out, in ten big steps covering character deaths, villainous schemes and surprise superhero appearances€

10. Cap & Co. Vs Crossbones

Ensuring that Captain America: Civil War feels like a Steve Rogers-focused story from the start, the film will surely open with a Captain America scene. Taking a leaf out of James Bond's book, directors Joe and Anthony Russo might decide to chuck Cap straight into a dramatic action sequence. Empire Magazine described a scene that they€™ve already seen from the film a few months ago, which sounds a lot like it could provide this action-packed opening. It starts with Chris Evans€™ Cap out in the field with Scarlett Johansson€™s Black Widow and Anthony Mackie€™s Falcon, positioned on the top of a building. They€™re investigating a suspicious van, which Falcon uses his new gadget €“ a hi-tech surveillance drone dubbed Redwing (a nod to the comics) €“ to scope out. Redwing finds that the van is seriously heavy, and the gang of superheroes soon realise that Frank Grillo€™s Crossbones €“ still bitter about the events of The Winter Soldier - is the driver. Cue massive fight scene, involving a slue of HYDRA agents who show up to even the odds. Meanwhile, Crossbones shows off a snazzy new weapon €“ a magnetic bomb that can affix to Cap€™s shield. Crossbones then reveals that he has intel regarding Bucky, who€™s proved an elusive character since shirking his Soviet ties during The Winter Soldier. That€™s where Empire€™s description stops, but something bigger has to come next (possibly including a disaster set at the Centre For Infectious Disease) that will kill a bunch of people shortly after he teases Cap about Bucky€™s whereabouts. basically, Cap took his eye off the ball, and failed to save some civilians when he was distracted about Buck.
