Comic Con 2018: Every Major Announcement You Need To Know

11. Titans Gets Its First Trailer...And It's Definitely A TV Show

Warner Bros' live-action Teen Titans TV series, Titans, unleashed its first trailer upon fans during Comic-Con and, well, "interesting" is probably the most polite descriptor you could give it.

Though there's obvious appeal in a show that focuses on young versions of Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy, this trailer sadly didn't inspire much hope that the show can aspire to be anything more than a wildly mixed bag.

From the atrocious, spasmodic editing of the trailer itself to the forced adult tone, inconsistent production values and dodgy costumes, it just reeks of yet another aggressively mediocre cape show that'll quickly come and go without much fanfare.

Titans will launch later this year on DC's new streaming service, DC Universe, which was also announced at SDCC. There's always the potential it can struggle through some growing pains and become a great show, but this doesn't leave a tantalising first impression at all.
