DCEU: 10 R-Rated Movies DC Needs To Make

8. Swamp Thing

The humanoid plant monster known as Swamp Thing could be a terrific addition to the DCEU if done right, especially as his creation and mutation would make the film ripe for the grotesque body horror treatment, drawing inspiration from David Cronenberg's The Fly for instance.

Considering that the popular screen iterations of Swamp Thing tend to play up the camp and silliness, this is one character the DCEU could do wonders with, by introducing general audiences to a more intensely terrifying, existential and, yes, disgusting version of the iconic anti-hero.

How Likely Is It?: The fact that Swamp Thing would almost definitely be a performance-captured character instantly makes it doubtful that Warner Bros. would dare throw an R-rating at the movie, due to the financial ceiling it would place on a movie that wouldn't run cheap.

While the character being a known entity with audiences works in his favour, it still isn't easy to imagine the studio greenlighting that necessary R rating. 2/10
