Epic Movie Parade Coming To Universal Orlando Summer 2024 - More Announcements!
Jaws, Ghostbusters and Back to the Future are returning to the theme park in a brand new way.
A new parade, two night time shows and most excitedly a brand new land are all arriving at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure in the next few months.
Opening June 14th will be the new DreamWorks Land, taking over the area once housed by Toon Lagoon and will feature attractions and characters based around your favourite DreamWorks movies like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Trolls.
DreamWorks Land will feature the Trollercoaster based on the Trolls movie. You'll be able to meet Shrek at his swamp home and learn some kung-fu moves with Po from Kung-Fu Panda.
The new DreamWorks Land isn't the only new attraction that guests will be able to experience at the Orlando theme parks this summer. Two very exciting other attractions will be debuting that very day too.
Over at Islands of Adventure, a new night time show will be taking place at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. "Hogwarts Always" will be the latest projection and firework show to take place against the famous wizard school. The projection show will "take guests on a journey through iconic moments of a school year at Hogwarts." You'll catch moments of the Sorting Ceremony, the House Cup winners and even the ride Hogwarts Express to school. "Hogwarts Always" will also feature vocal appearances from beloved characters such as Dumbledore and Hagrid.
"Hogwarts Always" will take place in Hogsmeade on select nights throughout this year's summer season.
Over at Universal Studios Florida a brand new lagoon show will also be debuting on 14th June. The CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular show will take you straight into the movies that you know and love. The lagoon show will featured scores and visuals from classic movies Jaws, Ghostbusters and Back to the Futures; as well as more recent films like Transformers, Minions and How to Train Your Dragon. The show is set to be a truly cinematic experience for the whole family with appearances from Universal Monsters, ET as well as Warner Bros. Pictures Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.
CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular will feature "228 fountains that reach heights up to 131 feet" and make use of 4K projection mapping and drones that will bring life to the lagoon area when night time falls.
After Universal's Superstar Parade ended in 2022, their Studio park has been without a parade. This summer begins the debut of a brand new parade, beginning 3rd July.
Universal Mega Movie Parade will feature 13 brand new floats and even feature a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The parade is a celebration of all things movies including "E.T., Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World, Illumination’s Minions and Sing and DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and Kung Fu Panda."
Universal Orlando Resort has always promised guests will step into the movies and this summer looks like it is set to be a truly cinematic celebration!
