In the wake of Justice League's disappointment, Wonder Woman now looks even more of a success for Warner Bros, DC and Patty Jenkins. It was, in fact, so successful that there were rumours before the ensemble came out that Joss Whedon was tasked with making the League movie more like Jenkins'.
Ultimately that didn't prove to be the case, but that almost now makes Wonder Woman feel better and the idea that anyone thought female-led comic book movies wouldn't work all the more insane.
Best of all, the film proved that there is life in the DCEU away from the darkness of Zack Snyder's vision, and even if the rest of the DCEU tumbles down, Warner Bros would be mad to scrap Wonder Woman now.
Sure, there are faults - like the villain being a little underwhelming - but Wonder Woman is easily the best DCEU movie, and it's right up there in the top level of DC movies in general.
