While the Marvel Cinematic Universe currently soars high with a 20-movie streak of critical acclaim, only two of the DCEU's six films currently hold Fresh ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, with fans being forced to begrudgingly consider that the folks at Warner Bros. really don't know what they're doing.
Indeed, it's been a tough few years for DC fans at the movies, and for every positive step the franchise appears to take forward, there are those disappointing duds to remind everyone just how bad things can get.
It remains to be seen whether or not Warner Bros. can fix the flailing DCEU by focusing more on solo adventures and less on team-up movies.
But with Shazam!, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman 1984 all set to release within the next 18 months, they've certainly got a diverse slate of enticing possibilities on the way.
Until then, here's how the franchise's current platter of movies lines up, from those dreadful disappointments to that pleasant surprise few saw coming...
