4. Jean - Executive Decision (1996)
There really should be a genre of movies that are so brilliantly bad they're good - ones you can dip into, with all knowledge that they're not going to be nominated for an Oscar or a BAFTA anytime soon, but that they might just be enjoyable enough to be a delight to watch.
Executive Decision is one of those movies - a typical plane-terrorist-takeover B-movie that embraces its cheesiness and is all the better for it. Better still are the performances - Halle Berry's air stewardess Jean harkens back to the air disaster movies of the 1970s. Berry's Jean embodies a heroic spirit and an intelligence so rarely seen in these kinds of films as well as some of the dynamism that would later shape her roles, foretelling her characteristic strength in all her characters.
