Indiana Jones 5: 10 Rumours You Need To Hear

Please, no nuking the fridge.

There have long been rumours of a fifth Indiana Jones movie, even before Disney purchased LucasFilm for $4bn back in 2012. When the Mouse House bought the rights to Star Wars and, along with it, Indy, it was assumed that as well as making further films in a galaxy far, far away, an announcement on a new adventure for Dr Jones couldn€™t be too far off. Since then there€™s been an awful lot of speculation, but it wasn€™t until Vanity Fair€™s Star Wars special earlier this week that there was concrete confirmation of Indiana Jones 5. LucasFilm president said: €œ will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I€™m not quite sure. We haven€™t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.€ It seems it may still be a little way off yet, but it is definitely happening. Whether there€™s still an appetite or not is another issue, given how poorly received the last outing was. While some see The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has the final nail in the coffin, and that it should be left well alone lest it further taint what came before, others believe that the franchise can€™t go out on such a bum-note. Disney certainly don€™t seem to be in any rush to make it (and with at least six Star Wars films planned, they don€™t need to be), which should at least provide some optimism that they€™re going to take their time with this one to make sure they get it right. While there are no firm details beyond this confirmation, this hasn€™t stopped a slew of rumours cropping up regarding the film. Indeed, many have been around long before the film was even said to be getting made. Here€™s a look at 10, some of which are likely, some of which we'd simply like, and some that are rather ludicrous.
