9. Queen Hippolyta

Easily the coolest and most bada** parent in the DCEU to date is Wonder Woman's mother Queen Hippolyta, who makes a brief but memorable appearance near the start of the movie, when Steppenwolf attacks Themyscira to steal the Mother Box.

Hippolyta leads an army of dedicated Amazonians to fend off Steppenwolf's army, resulting in one of the film's more entertaining action beats as the Queen desperately attempts to escape from Steppenwolf with the Mother Box in tact.

The villain eventually captures it, though, and Hippolyta is forced to fire off a beacon to bring Diana's attention to what's happened.

She's such an awesome character and Connie Nielsen is superbly cast for it, so hopefully there's more to come for her in the future.
