10. Commissioner Gordon

Following Gary Oldman's lead is always going to be a thankless task, though J.K. Simmons was perfectly cast as the new Jim Gordon, so it's a shame his part in the movie is so scant.

Still, Simmons acquits himself well, nailing the look of the character and the grizzled earnestness audiences expect.

He gets a few fun, brief interactions with the League and makes his respect for Batman abundantly clear when a colleague doubts the Caped Crusader's sanity, but again, this is really just table-setting for his more fleshed-out planned appearance in The Batman.
