Very recently, some very interesting news broke on moviehole, from an decently weighty source (the writer of the piece is a partner in a global movie PR firm), which reveals the Wachowski’s as potential directors for DC’s upcoming Justice League movie.
The Wachowski’s rocketed to mainstream prominence after releasing the Matrix, and rose to notoriety with the subsequent Reloaded and Revolutions, which violently split fans, some despising the sequels, while others praised them as bold, fresh and original. But however you look at it, you can’t say the Matrix Trilogy didn’t capture the imaginations of a captive global audience.
However you might feel about the Wachowski’s, the fact remains that their names are now potentially linked to Warner Bros. upcoming Justice League movie, and whether for you that’s for better or worse, it may soon be an idea we’ll all have to get used to.
Here at WhatCulture!, we’re actually quite intrigued as to what a Wachowski helmed Justice League movie might be – it’d be different, we can probably be sure of that. In fact, you could say that with some of their previous entries into the genre of the unique and the fantastical, the Wachowski’s could be counted among the most logical candidates.
We think a Wachowski Justice League Movie could rule, and hard. So here are ten reasons why.

Some directors are better with their own material than with other people’s writing and some directors are the opposite. For instance, Zack Snyder is terrible with his own original stuff, but when directing someone else’s screenplay, he is one of the best. In my mind, the Wachowskis are the opposite. They are at their best when the story is their own. I’m not sure they could satisfy comic book fans who are notoriously purists when it comes to sticking to the source material.
I LOVE the The Wachowski’s. They are one of my biggest influences in cinema. But they should not do a Justice League movie.
I will also say (if my first comment shows up) that The Matrix was NEVER supposed to be a trilogy. The story ended after the first movie. The sequels were devised after the success of the original movie, despite what greedy producers say.
The main problem with this article is that it doesn’t give us any other examples than the Matrix Trilogy.
Which is the main problem with the Wachowskis as well: they didn’t make anything good since Matrix. That’s 13 years and only one good movie.
Apart from that. Speed Racer? Really?
What do you expect from a site that uses the let’s chop our articles to pieces so we will get more views idea? Probably the writers write fast instead of smart and this is the result.
