The Last Of Us Movie: 15 Key Scenes We Need To See

15. Ellie And Riley's Last Day Together

Although plenty happened during Ellie and Riley's last few hours together, it is unreasonable to expect whoever directs the film adaptation to include too much of the story involved in the downloadable content, if any of it makes the film at all. With a story that is so robust in the main campaign alone, time restraints might make it impossible to include too much. Nonetheless, Screen Gems will have to be sure not to take this part of the story too seriously. It did a great job of capturing the last bit of childhood the two would probably experience together and dwelling on it raises the possibility of the movie coming off preachy or overdramatic. On the off chance that the DLC does make the game it will be a colossal effort to find actresses that will be able to capture the emotion Riley gives off and much more importantly, Ellie. Both characters have a charisma to them that makes their vulgar language and random outbursts charming when they could so easily be annoying or obnoxious. Giving young actors the task of portraying these two will be one of the biggest wild cards this movie will have to face. In so many movies where children have prominent roles, films are made or broken based on the kids' acting chops. The Last of Us will be no different and having Ellie seem annoying right off the bat will not fare well for the film by any means.
