The Last Of Us Movie: 15 Key Scenes We Need To See
14. Ellie Running Away
Here is a part of the game that greatly benefited from some of the various scenes that preceded it during the earlier portion of the campaign. Ellie's boiling point was slow burning and she finally reached her limit when Joel, the only person she had been able to connect with on a personal level since the loss of her best friend Riley (among others, of course), decided to pass her on to his brother without any explanation for his motives at all. With the way the story unfolded, it was obviously a decision that Joel would have soon regretted. It never came as a surprise that Ellie would potentially run away by herself as she is independent in spite of her age and size, but going into uncharted territories with violent and persistent enemies lurking in every corner gave players plenty of anxiety while Tommy and Joel searched for her. The movie will have a nice opportunity here to draw out the big fight in the abandoned house where Joel and Tommy eventually find Ellie unharmed. It will also have a chance to show off some of Tommy and Ellie's fighting skills too, although there is not much else that could possibly be improved on.
Hey, I'm Brandon. I love writing and reading and I study journalism, communication studies and business at the University of Rhode Island. My main passions are sports, music, TV, movies and a lot of other things that would take me way too long to write. WhatCulture is a great place for me to express myself so I'm looking to write as much as I can. Thanks for reading my work.
