After the Snap, came the Page. With Thanos clicking his fingers and wreaking destruction and devastation upon the universe, Nick Fury resorted to desperate measures and sent out a distress signal just moments before his own disappearance. A distress signal that went to none other than Carol Danvers.

The post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War was used to tease something we all knew: Captain Marvel is on the way.

The character will first appear in her own solo film in March, in which Samuel L. Jackson's Fury will also star, before presumably jumping to the future for a role in Avengers 4, which needs to undo the Mad Titan's actions and defeat him for good.

Luckily for them, Danvers should be a big help in that regard, with Infinity War and Avengers 4 writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely saying she'll be the most powerful hero we've ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apart from that, though, little else has been revealed about her role in Avengers 4, from how she'll turn up to what she'll actually do, or even just where the heck she's been all these years, but there are a few theories out there.
